What is Dholera SIR?
Dholera Special Investment Region (SIR) is India’s first and largest greenfield smart city project, spread over 920 sq. km. Located 80 km from Ahmedabad in Gujarat, it is designated as one of the 24 smart cities under the Delhi-Mumbai Industrial Corridor (DMIC).

How It Got Started
Dholera SIR was announced in 2009 as part of the DMIC project. The foundation stone was laid in 2019, and the development has been progressing rapidly. The project aims to create a world-class industrial and residential hub with state-of-the-art infrastructure.
It was popularised in the 1960s with the release of Letraset sheets containing
